From Joshua Fletcher:
The word "common" often means "shared by many" but not "shared by all". When I say "common metadata" I mean "metadata that appears quite often" and not "default metadata for every document".
The other thing that's confusing about this is Nuxeo actually has a schema called "common" but this schema doesn't contain any of the fields displayed under "Common metadata" in the UI. The items listed in the UI are from the dublincore schema.
- "Dublin Core metadata"?
- Or just "Metadata"?
- Or "Default metadata"? <- I think this last one might be a lot more clear to a new user and it's somewhat consistent with how Nuxeo behaves by default meaning there are items that appear by default that you would never actually use in a "real" system (for example things that say "customizable via Studio").
