      Description

      From Joshua Fletcher:
The word "common" often means "shared by many" but not "shared by all". When I say "common metadata" I mean "metadata that appears quite often" and not "default metadata for every document".
The other thing that's confusing about this is Nuxeo actually has a schema called "common" but this schema doesn't contain any of the fields displayed under "Common metadata" in the UI. The items listed in the UI are from the dublincore schema.
      Possible solutions:
      "Dublin Core metadata"?
      Or just "Metadata"?
Or "Default metadata"? <- I think this last one might be a lot more clear to a new user and it's somewhat consistent with how Nuxeo behaves by default meaning there are items that appear by default that you would never actually use in a "real" system (for example things that say "customizable via Studio").

See related ticket for Studio (same ticket).
