Gracefully handle upload errors on document import

      Description

      Errors are not handled such that there is no update to the UI when upload fails and it looks like the upload is still in progress.

      To reproduce: 

      • upload a large file that will take longer to upload than the session timeout

      At least the UI should show that the upload has failed. A retry action (manual retry) would also be a improvement, or let the user create the documents for the files that were successfully uploaded.
