Here is how selection of several documents currently works:
- user can select several documents on a page,
- he can go to the next page and select other documents.
=> Documents from both pages are selected. - If the user does a bulk edit, documents from both pages are modified (see
NXP-12164for bulk edit improvement proposal).
It would be nice to have an indication of the total number of selected documents somewhere on the page.
Here is a proposal:
When user checks one or several documents, display "n documents selected". When the user goes to the next page, keep the information displayed and update the number of selected documents if he checks other boxes.
On the list view, the information could be displayed just below the pagination, like that it's the same place and presentation whatever the DM presentation of the list of documents (list view, icon view, compact view). And it would work for DAM as well.
