      Description

      a) Drag & Drop : User drops the assets, and system creates asset where it has been configured (in a xml contribution), without metadata : when user drops his assets via this drag& drop, I don't know how user can retrieve it ( just see them somewhere, but just the set of assets he has just imported.)

=> sort all the pictures by "latest import" first and not by alphabetical order by default.

      b) New asset button : user adds one asset + metadata.
This import option displays the doc type choice, so user sees the corresponding layout with specific metadata

      c) Bulk Import : user needs to choose in a tree where the assets are created + Drag and drop zone to drop the assets and to display assets dropped+ metadata input zone (studio configured layout). Assets can be in a zip or not.
The tree + drop zone + metadata takes a lot of space.
      Solution would be :

      • to reduce number of metadata (tags + authoring information), reduce drop zone
        and/or
      • to build a new Tree widget with better & smaller display
=> The goal is to avoid a wizzard or a big scrolling pop up

=> The choice of the place to create will only be done by a Suggest box (user types the beginning of the name and system completes).
(Suggest could display the path of the selected workspace)
Under : name of the folder where user wants to create: “Create in a folder” + Input Area

      • User selects the folder where to create in a suggest field (ideally, it displays on the right part the full path of the selected element). If he doesn't fill up the "name of the new folder" field, assets will be created right under the selected folder, if he fills it up, the folder will be created right under the folder.
        d) API (for serious import when lots of assets)

      2/ Import Sets
=> Generate a unique marker to identify all assets that were imported in the same batch: that way we can show all "related" assets just after creation. the "last uploads" feature would be cool too, maybe we can do both?
=> Stand by until we do the collections

      =>'last uploads : today/this week/ this month'
      ?
