wrong date value used when querying for documents from the advanced search form

In advanced search, inject a document. Switch the time-zone, and get the new time stamp in the edit view. In the advanced search, query for the document giving a short inclusive range matching the previously displayed date. No documents are returned.

By enabling trace in the core storage, we saw that the date values are exactly the same as the one entered in the web-layer. They are not converted to GMT values.
