Column settings inconsistent when working with tabs

Basically if you choose what columns you want visible, and then open the container in a new tab, one of the columns becomes lost. 

To reproduce:

1. create a Workspace
2. alter column settings and add State and Author
3. Navigate to the workspace's parent and back to the workspace – observe that the State and Author columns are still visible
4. Open the workspace in a new tab – observe that when switching to the new tab one of the columns disappears
5. Switch back to the first tab – the column disappears there too
