Fix loading of thumbnail in high-resolution grid view

When using a high-resolution display or a zoomed-out browser tab, thumbnails are not loaded even though the placeholder is present. Furthermore, the scrollbar needs to be long enough (by resizing the window) to trigger the loading of the missing thumbnails. See the attached video vokoscreen-2020-12-10_18-14-56.mp4
