Can't save commits in Designer

When in Designer, you are not able to commit your changes, although this is working as expected in Modeler. 
I believe there is an issue going on with the selective commits in Designer because it is not showing up there but it is fine in Modeler. 

Steps:
1. Make any change (can be in modeler or designer)

2. Add a commit message and try to save in designer.

3. The box goes away but no commit has been made. 

4. If you go to modeler and commit, it works.
