Something is strange about the way character encoding is handled in the commit history – a line entered into a translation file in Designer shows in the commit history as
+ "label.ui.state.obsolete": "Obsolᅢᄄte",
The pclm project has a messages-fr.json file in Designer that can be used to verify: https://connect.nuxeo.com/nuxeo/designer/#/pclm
Go into Designer and find the Translations in the UI tab, copy the French translations and paste them into a new Translations file in a new project, then check the commits. https://connect.nuxeo.com/nuxeo/site/studio/ide?project=hbrown-SANDBOX branch feature/20220831 can be used as an example.
