Cannot open Designer in new tab from icon

I like to open Designer in a separate tab to Modeler. so it's a bit frustrating that I can't right click on the icon and "Open link in new tab" any more. Strangely, in Designer I CAN right-click the Modeler icon and "Open link in new tab", so it's a bit inconsistent.

Apparently, that change "was not intentional, must be a side effect of the changes to display help when web-ui is not a dependency of the project and the button is disabled".

Please can the behaviour of the right-click menu of the "switch to Designer" icon be reverted to the default (i.e. with the "Open link in new tab" action) ?
