When I register the DAM add-on as a "target package" please allow toggling of Asset tab in View Designer

When I register a Studio project as using the Nuxeo DAM add-on, Studio becomes automatically aware of the Document Types, Facets, and Schemas that come with the add-on, such that I can reference them in Studio (both Modeler and Designer). However the DAM add-on adds an Assets tab in the left menu, that I am unable to disable via Designer, as I can with all the other OOTB tabs in the left menu.
