Schema Import, Initialize, and Reference do not work

I have tried Import, Initialize, and Reference to import an XSD file in Studio. In all cases a schema is created in Studio but the list of fields is blank. When configuring a JSF layout, the schema is not listed. When configuring a View Designer Layout, the schema name is listed, but not the fields.
