operation xpath field seems empty when switching to edit mode

On the operation chain editor, when an existing operation (Document Update property for instance) is in read mode, I can see the xpath field.
When switching to write mode, the field seems empty, the value is visible if I click in the field.

(the value is not lost of I save without clicking in the field)
