Impossible to set Edit properties for "life_cycle_transitions" widget

When adding a Generic widget to the Edit layout, and then selecting "life_cycle_transitions" for the widget type, only "View properties" are displayed, which makes the widget not work because he needs to use properties in "edit" mode.

Morever, when playing a little with /widgets/life_cycle_transitions_widget_template.xhtml, the widget mode appears to be "view" when display the Edit screen, what could indicate that this widget is forced to be rendered in View mode.
