Set the TCP keep alive option by default

In order to fix a tricky issue with hanging HTTPS calls, we need to fix the Python client: it must set the good socket option to add the TCP keep alive one. See the linked tickets for details.

We will reuse partq of the code that inspired us as it is allowed (and well done ):
