WebDav doesn't take into account a customized default document type

From a workspace local configuration, I changed the default document type from File to a custom file-based doc type. When I create a new document using the "Import a file" button, it creates a custom file. It works fine too when I use D&D.
But when I create a new document in my workspace using Webdav (by D&D), it creates a File, not my custom document type.
