The goal is to have the same test cover as the selenium current cover, using Webdriver tests written in Java for better factorization, and ti avoid handling random issues as well as upgrade issues on both Selenium HTML and Webdriver Java tests.
This should help upgrading slaves to use newer Firefox versions (especially if user-sextensions.js file used in Selenium HTML tests does not need to be kept in sync for this, since it is currently embedded in the tools-nuxeo-ftest module).
Since Java tests are slower than Selenium HTML tests, and since new test cases will add up to the stack, Java tests setup should be improved to be quicker, and more unit. Users and structure creation can be handled thanks to Rest Helpers, using the nuxeo-java-client library.
Selenium server lib dependency is upgraded from 2.45.0 to 2.53.0.
Selenium has been fully replaced by Webdriver for the functional tests of the Nuxeo Platform and is no longer used.
