Review and improve Web UI and Elements testing

We need to review and document unit / integration / functional testing on Web UI and Elements. The goals here are:

1) Improve consistency on the tests, making sure everybody is aware of what should be tested and how it should be done

2) Make sure a clear distinction is made between what needs to be tackled unitarily and functionally

3) Integrate the required tech improvements to make the above possible
