Update on proxy of a document does not trigger a reindex in ElasticSearch

In my use case, I used an automation chain to bulk update several metadata of selected documents. The documents can be the original documents or proxies. When the original documents are updated, a reindex of the updated documents is triggered in ElasticSearch. But when it's proxies, no reindex is triggered.
