Publish tab is broken on Video when Studio defines a View Layout

With Media Publishing installed, if Studio overrides the view layout of the Video doc type, the publish tab displays the view layout instead of publish information. See screenshot.
To reproduce:

• install media publishing add-on
• in studio import dam default applicaiton template and deploy the project.
• in nuxeo go to the publish tab of a video

Workaround in Studio:

• empty the view layout under the Video document type definition (remove all widgets)
• add facet PubllishableMedia under Registries > Document facets
• add facet PubllishableMedia to document type Video
