Quicksearch starts on the first typed character after selecting previous data in the search box

Steps to reproduce the issue :

• start a quicksearch using the proper minimum number of characters to start the search
• select the data typed in the search box
• replace the data with only one character
  => the search is launched, using the previously typed data
  The issue occurs on Chrome, IE and Firefox.

By the way, it is difficult to select the data from the search box.
