Users can share a temporary access to a folder of the repository (with Read or Write permissions) to someone external to the authentication realm of the Nuxeo Platform instance using an authentication token. Token is named. Its validity is time based. When an access is made using this token, any action usually logged is logged with the principal id equal to the token name (and maybe a prefix). In the user interface, a “shortcut” is made so that user can “send a temporary link” to a user by giving its email address and a comment. This will effectively create a token and use the email address for the name, and set an ACL time based. A notification will be sent using the built-in notification system for ACLs (see Extended ACLs)
It is possible at anytime to remove a token.
