Edit available data icon does not always show up on search content views

I have a custom search content view that is displayed when going to search tab. At this stage, I dot not see the
"Edit available data icon"

I have to select another search content view and comme back to my first content view so display it.

Note: I have SpreadSheet installed with the same behaviour in my case
