If you are upgrading from a version of the package lower than 1.3.0 (ie from Nuxeo 5.x), you should remove the -Djava.security.auth.login.config=xxx option from your nuxeo.conf, it is now automatically added by the package.

The current (5.9.5-) kerberos authentication package requires copying and editing files by hand instead of using templates.

It should just require setting two parameters in nuxeo.conf:
