Operation Render.Document does not support list of documents

When providing a list of documents as input to operation Render.Document variable 'This' contains only the first document of the provided list. I tested the example supplied in the following document http://doc.nuxeo.com/display/Studio/Available+variables+in+document+templates#Availablevariablesindocumenttemplates-Freemarkertemplatinglanguage%28ftl%29 and does not provide the stated result.
