No email alert is sent to the workflow initiator when he gets a task after the 1st reviewer refused the doc

When the 1st reviewer on a workflow refuses the document, the workflow initiator gets a task on the document, to either edit it and resubmit it, or to cancel the review. He's displayed the task in his dashboard, but he doesn't get any email alert. He should get one, since it is the case for reviewers. They get an email alert when the reviewer after them on the workflow refuse the document.
