      The fix is a breaking change for auto-update on macOS. So:

      • we bumped the development version from 2.2.* to 2.3.*
      • for macOS users: they need to remove Drive manually and install the future 2.3.* release manually. Then, auto-update will work as expected.

      Description

      Install one of the affected versions and see that it will never update. It will continuously detect that the current version is the up-to-date one.

      This curious behavior occures on macOS only.
