Story Points:8
Installation:
- Which minimum version of Windows is required?
- Is there a specific update version necessary?
- Which versions of Windows do we support?
- How much RAM and memory do I need to use Nuxeo Drive for direct edit assuming I am going to work on average with 50 files a day that are 25 to 100MB each?
- To properly install Nuxeo Drive what kind of user account do I need, with which privileges?
- Are administrator rights on the machine required?
- Is using a Microsoft account ok? Any particular restriction on the account type?
- Dependencies:
- Which version of Drive do I need with my Windows version?
- What dependencies are required by Nuxeo Drive? E.g., Python or other libraries or tools.
- Do they come embedded or have to be installed separately?
- Which version of each is compatible with Drive?
- Does Nuxeo Drive isolate them or are they shared with the system?
- Are there any other third parties tool that I need to install on my machine?
- Are there any security restrictions?
- Where should I install Nuxeo Drive?
- Is there a specific type of folder I should use or avoid using? (Local folder, shared folder, network folder, etc)
- What are the required permissions on this folder that I choose?
- Are there other changes done by Drive to function that I need access to and if so which permissions are needed and where? (e.g., registry editor, system folders, anything else)
Direct Edit Functioning:
- Once Drive installed, I configure a Nuxeo account. Where is all the information related to this account stored on Drive side?
- What permissions are needed to store this information? (e.g., do I need a specific permission on a given folder?)
- I activate the logs and the Direct Edit feature
- Where are the logs and the configuration of Drive stored? Does that require any additional / change in permission compared to before?
- Do I need specific permissions to activate the logs?
- I launch a Direct Edit on a document
- Where is the document stored?
- What permissions are needed on the place where the document is stored?
- What is the maximum file size for Direct editing?
- Please put this in correlation with the machine sizing. E.g., if my machine has 16gb of RAM, what's the maximum I can edit. Same with any other criteria that could impact direct edit.
- What’s the memory, RAM, CPU, storage needed to use Direct Edit?
- Please clarify if this consumption is linear depending on the file size.
- Once the modification is completed, what happens to the document, the Drive database etc?
- Is the document deleted or kept? If so, where, for how long?
- Is there a recommended storage capacity?
- How does Drive memory and storage consumption is meant to evolve over time considering these factors?
- If I edit multiple documents with Direct Edit, will it increase my storage and memory usage?
- Please clarify how based on the initial scenario (average with 50 files a day that are 25 to 100MB each)
- What’s the necessary information to debug? Do you need something else than the DEBUG file? (e.g., information provided by the OS).
- Please provide a specific list of the information you expect to receive assuming that Drive crashed or hanged up without any particular explanation on the client side.
