DirectEdit'ing a doc and saving multiple times by second fails

Sometimes DirectEdit changes made on MS documents (Word, etc) are not synchronized. The problem seems to be related to the fact that MS Office removes the original file and then rename the temporary file to the original name.

I don't have a scenario to reproduce it all the times, but maybe the algorithm which detects this "remove then rename" thing could be improved to support edge cases.
