When server is not reachable, display info in metadata window to advice the user to connect

Metadata edit displays a white page in the popup when server is not reachable
We should probably catch an exception and display a nice error message in the popup.
Or maybe find a way to not display the right-click menu entry if the server is not reachable? But might impact performances on the Explorer...
