If we could have real permissions on Windows, it would simplify a lot the framework, reduce code complexity and less Windows specific bugs.
We need to try all what is possible to enforce Windows to understand and work as expected when dealing with read-only files, like other OSes do.
An idea would be to use the NTFS security layer with the winsys module.
