We want to improve automatic versioning documentation to have a better picture of mechanism.
Currently documentation is a bit complex, especially to understand:
- how to contribute a rule (policy/filter contributions)
- which are the default rules: two kinds of rules:
- system rules to avoid automatic versioning for specific system feature (for instance add/remove to collection, add/remove tag on document)
- demo rules, currently there's two (maybe three) default rules enabled on Nuxeo Platform, see versioning-default-policies.xml
We should add some diagrams to help to understand what the engine does.
