      Description

A Nuxeo package for RPM-based Linux distributions would simplify installation and deployment on these platforms.

Since RPMs are inherently non-interactive, I would expect the out-of-the-box RPM installation experience to continue to rely on mechanisms invoked after installation to capture and apply nuxeo.conf configuration customizations. This would likely be done using the standard Nuxeo wizard or a lightweight configuration management tool like Ansible.

It would seem useful to also provide a nuxeo-postgreSQL rpm for installation on the Nuxeo PostgreSQL server host to customize the PostgreSQL configuration for Nuxeo much like what is done in the DEBIAN postinst setup_postgresql() function.

Would Nuxeo consider accepting a patch that proposes a new nuxeo-packaging-rpm github repository that leverages the maven-rpm-plugin to generate a Nuxeo RPM?
