      Description

      A lot of people that want to try Nuxeo have very little knowledge about software in general and java in particular.
      We must make the first step as easy as possible.

      There are several axes we should address :

      • provide a packaged installer for all OS
        => have a java based installer that can be run on Windows (32/64) and MacOS
        (this will also make the installer easily embeddable in other multi-platform installers)
      • reduce the JDK dependency
        => support Open JDK
        => support JRE

      Suport for JRE should enable to have people without Java (or with buggy JDK) to be able to run Nuxeo ...
