Story Points:3
Currently, each ticket owner should close his/her opened tickets when a related NXP has been fixed and the matching HF has been released.
This is a tedious task, time consuming, and can lead to leftover tickets.
- Ideally a script could access the release note page of the HF available in JIRA and parse it to get the fixed issues list.
- Then it could resolve the SUPNXP tickets and retrieve the assignee
- One reminder per assignee should be sent compiling all the tickets one has to close
- It could also contain templates in FR/EN so that assignees just have to copy/paste. Or it could directly insert a private update into the ticket and let the user make it public or delete if not needed.
- automatically closing the ticket in this case could be tricky and lead to false positives. What to do with tickets with multiple NXPs ? (Or for whatever reason the ticket should not be closed yet)
- also, a mailing list could be added in CC to handle those reminders for people who cannot do this cleaning
