      Build promotion is currently managed with batch tasks, joined jobs, parameterized triggers... That works fine but the "promote" action could be greatly leveraged using the Promoted Builds Plugin: there are additional features, variables and, especially, an integration with the pipeline.

      First, look at using it on:

      • nightly builds
      • test and push
