Can't create a "complete deliverable" from the project view

I have created a new project as Michele. While in draft state, I try to create a deliverable definition. I enter the name, they type, and then define a deliverable item with the size and the format as well as entering the publication information.

when I click save, I get an error message saying that I cannot save the item. If I then cancel, and create just the deliverable name and type, and save, it works. Then I can edit the item to add the deliverable item information.
