Story Points:3
When attempting to update a permission for a document, the permissions drop down displays the correct permission upon initial edit. However, if the edit is cancelled and the permission edit dialog is reopened, the permissions drop down appears empty instead of displaying the previously selected permission.
Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to the Permissions tab of any document
- Add a permission by clicking on the New button in the Permissions defined locally section. If permission already exists, you can skip this step.
- Locate the newly created / existing permission and click on the Edit Permission button. Observe that the permissions drop down correctly displays the previously selected permission
- Without making changes, click on the Cancel button to close the edit dialog
- Reopen the edit dialog for the same permission by clicking on the Edit Permission button again
- Observe that the permissions (Right) drop down is now empty, not showing the previously selected permission
Expected behavior: when reopening the update permission dialog, the Right input field should display the permission previously selected, allowing for seamless editing.
Actual Behavior: up on reopening the Update Permission dialog, the Right input field is empty, forcing the users to re-select the permission, which can lead to confusion.
