Image and video viewers not responsive

Video viewer have a fixed size, and image viewer only resizes after a window resize.
Image viewer is showing the image twice while loading, causing a flickering effect (note: it first loads the image, than create the cropper element and loads the image again).
Also the size of the viewer container is greater than the content, causing an extra "margin" on the right of the viewer.
