Allow multiple selection in nuxeo-data-table and nuxeo-data-grid

Existing listing elements should support multiple selection preferably relying on existing polymer selection behaviors.
Goal is to be able to read/write list of selected items and see the state reflected in the rendering of the items (highlight).
