Won't do due to a dependency on UX debt.
As studio still work with two different applications this issue cannot be addressed since the tree structure is the only way for now to drop properties. Hypothetically, properties would be managed from a properties / schemas editor to which users could access from the widget actions. That would also impact ~~in a good way~~ the "relations feature". So then get rid of the tree structure.

Knowing that

we can have ~6 widgets for a given property
we can have schemas with ~50 properties (checked based on some PS projects)
we can usually have between 10 and 20 custom schemas + some existing default ones (~25 to 30 total)
