Illustrator > User should see on the document that linked files are not up to date

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

    • Type: Improvement
    • Status: Resolved
    • Priority: Minor
    • Resolution: Won't Do
    • Affects Version/s: 1.2
    • Fix Version/s: 1.3
    • Component/s: Adobe Connector

      Description

You place several pictures in an Illustrator document.
Then, some of these pictures are updated on the server.
The connector asks the user to sync the library and the pictures are updated in the connector list. But in the document, the pictures are not updated and the user has no visual clue about it to update them, even manually.

In the Links panel, there is no clue that the asset is not up to date (link is not broken). It may be the place where we should trigger a warning.
In InDesign, there is a warning icon. Not sure if Illustrator can display the same icon on linked assets.
