Possible to have an import progress bar that shows percentage of Zip file import?

Would it be possible to extend the progress wheel during import to show the percentage of import done? I ask since I imported a Zip file into a new install of Nuxeo DAM 1.1 and, while the spinning progress wheel suggested that the import was happening, there were only 100 files in the Zip file and, after more than five minutes, I began to wonder if anything was really happening.

The import finally finished in just under 10 minutes, and I eventually verified that most of the time had been taken up by converting the sizable JPEG images to both thumbnail and preview images. Given how long that process can take, it would be useful to see how far along the import operation is at any time.
