When bundling the application, several folders and files are already purged. With PyQt and other module upgrades, a new check-up has to be done.
—
Another clean-up has to be done: getting rid of .qmlc files. Those are QML compiled files, but they are OS-dependant and machine-dependant. So when the app starts:
- Qt will load a .qmlc file
- Qt will understand it is not good
- Qt will delete it
- Qt will then generate a new one from the original .qml file
- (repeat N times where N is the count of .qml files distributed by PyQt)
So the whole statup process is slowed down just because obsolete/incompatible files are part of the package.
